- Identity Verification and Payment Information: Such as images of your government-issued ID (as permitted by applicable laws), your ID number or other verification information, bank account, or payment account information.
- Additional Profile Information: Such as gender, preferred language(s), city, and personal description. Some of this information, as indicated in your account settings, is part of your public profile page and will be publicly visible.
- Information About Others: Such as a payment method belonging to another person or information about a guest. By providing us with personal information about others, you certify that you have permission to provide that information to Trainsquare for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and you have shared the Trainsquare Privacy Policy with them.
- Other Information: Such as when you fill in a registration form, add information to your account, respond to surveys, participate in promotions, communicate with Trainsquare Support, or share your experience with us.
- Geolocation Information: Such as precise or approximate location determined from your IP address, mobile, or other device’s GPS, or other information you share with us, depending on your device settings.
- Usage Information: Such as the pages or content you view, searches for workshops, bookings you have made, and other actions on the Trainsquare Platform.
- Log Data and Device Information: Such as details about how you have used the Trainsquare Platform (including if you clicked on links to third-party applications), IP address, access dates and times, hardware and software information, device information, unique identifiers, crash data, and the pages you’ve viewed or engaged with before or after using the Trainsquare Platform. We may collect this information even if you haven’t created an account or logged in.
- Payment Transaction Information: Such as payment type used, date and time, payment amount, payment type expiration date and billing address, email address, IBAN information, and other related transaction details.
- Third-Party Services: If you link, connect, or log in to the Trainsquare Platform with a third-party service (e.g., Google, Facebook), you direct the service to send us information such as your registration, friends list, and profile information as controlled by that service or as authorized by you via your privacy settings at that service.
- Referrals: If you are invited to the Trainsquare Platform, for example, as a guest to a workshop, the person who invited you can submit personal information about you such as your email address or other contact information.
How we use personal data
We may process this information to improve and Develop the Trainsquare Platform. This includes, but is not limited to, the following purposes:
- Enable you to access the Trainsquare Platform and make and receive payments.
- Enable you to communicate with workshop hosts.
- Process your requests.

- Send you messages, updates, security alerts, and account notifications.
- Personalize and customize your experience based on your interactions with the Trainsquare Platform, your search and booking history, your profile information and preferences, and other content you submit.
If you provide us with your contacts’ information, such as your friends or family, we may process this information to:
- Facilitate your gift card.
- Share your booking details and facilitate planning.
- Detect and prevent fraud.
- Facilitate your requests or for any other purpose you authorize.
Create and Maintain a Trusted and Safer Environment. We may process this information to:
- Detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security and safety incidents, and other harmful activities.
- Conduct fraud prevention, security investigations, and risk assessments.
- Verify or authenticate information provided by you.
- Conduct checks against databases and other information sources, including background checks when required.
- Comply with our legal obligations, protect the health and well-being of our Users, Hosts, and Guests.
- Resolve disputes with our Users, including sharing information with your Host(s) or additional Guests about disputes related to your role as a Host(s) or additional Guests.
- Assess or evaluate your interactions with the Trainsquare Platform and information obtained from third parties. In limited cases, automated processes could restrict or suspend your access to the Trainsquare Platform if they detect activity that may pose a safety or other risk to Trainsquare, our community, or third parties.
Provide, Personalize, Measure, and Improve our Advertising and Marketing. We may process this information to:
- Send you promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information based on your preferences and social media advertising through social media platforms.
- Personalize, measure, and improve our advertising.
- Administer surveys, contests, or other promotional activities or events sponsored or managed by Trainsquare or its third-party partners.
- Analyze characteristics and preferences to send you promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information that we think might be of interest to you.
- Invite you to events and relevant opportunities.
- Send, with your consent, promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information that may be of interest to you based on your preferences.
Data Sharing & Disclosures
Where you provide consent, we share your information as described at the time of consent, such as when authorizing a third-party application or website to access your Trainsquare account or participating in promotional activities by Trainsquare partners or third parties.
Where permissible under applicable law, we may use certain information about you, such as your email address, that we share with social media platforms after de-identifying it to generate leads, drive traffic to Trainsquare, or otherwise promote our products and services.
Between User(s) and Host(s) when:
- A booking is made, when there is a Host, or a dispute is submitted, such as profile, name, names of any additional Guests, cancellation history, review information, age of guest (unless prohibited by applicable law), dispute outcome (when applicable), and other information you choose to share and submit.
- A booking is confirmed, additional information is shared to assist with attendance, such as profile photo and phone number.
- You as a Host have a confirmed booking, certain information is shared with the User (and any additional Guests they invite, if applicable) to coordinate the booking, such as your profile, full name, phone number, and Workshop address.
Information You Publish in Profiles, Listings, and Other Public Information:
- You can make certain information publicly visible to others, such as:
- Your public profile page, which includes your profile photo, first name (or initials where applicable), description, and city.
- Listing pages that include information such as the Workshop or precise location description, calendar availability, profile photo, aggregated demand information (like page views over a period), and additional information you choose to share.
- Reviews, ratings, and other public feedback.
- Content in a social media post.
- Information you share publicly on the Trainsquare Platform may be indexed through third-party search engines. In some cases, you may opt-out of this feature by contacting Trainsquare Support.
- You can make certain information publicly visible to others, such as:
Complying with Law, Responding to Legal Requests, Preventing Harm and Protecting Our Rights:
We may disclose your information to courts, law enforcement, governmental or public authorities, authorized third parties, if and to the extent we are required or permitted to do so by law or where disclosure is necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can access and modify certain personal information by adjusting your Account settings on Trainsquare. If you linked your Trainsquare Account to a third-party service such as Facebook or Google, you could change your settings and unlink from that service within your Account settings. It is your responsibility to ensure that your personal information is kept up to date.
You have the option to request the deletion of your personal information. Please note that if you request the deletion of your personal information or if your account is suspended, terminated, or voluntarily closed:
- We may retain your personal information as required for our legitimate business interests, such as preventing money laundering, detecting, and preventing fraud, and enhancing safety. For example, if we suspend a Trainsquare Account due to fraud or safety concerns, we may retain information from that Account to prevent the User from opening a new Trainsquare Account in the future.
- We may retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations. For instance, Trainsquare and Trainsquare Payments may retain information for legal reporting and auditing obligations.
- Information you have shared with others (e.g., Reviews) may continue to be publicly visible on Trainsquare, even after your Trainsquare Account is canceled.
- Due to measures we take to safeguard data against accidental or malicious loss and destruction, residual copies of your personal information may remain in our backup systems for a limited time.
Your Rights
To opt out of marketing communications, you can send an email to us at contact@trainsquare.io. However, in most cases, we will obtain your explicit consent before using your personal information for marketing purposes or give you the option to opt out of such use.
You have the right to request access, correction, and deletion of your personal data, as well as data portability, subject to applicable law. You may also object to the processing of your personal data or request that we limit the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. Parts of Trainsquare may link to third-party services. We do not own or control these third parties. When you interact with these third parties and choose to use their service, you are providing your information to them. Your use of these services is subject to the privacy policies of those providers, including Google Maps, Google Privacy Policy, and Stripe Privacy Policy. We will only share information as necessary for processing payments, refunds, and addressing related inquiries and complaints. Trainsquare will not store or provide any debit/credit card details to third parties.

While it is impossible to provide absolute security, we continuously implement and update administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your information from unlawful or unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration. We will employ reasonable technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss, misuse, or unauthorized modification of your personal information. Your personal data will be stored on secure servers protected by passwords and firewalls. Encryption technology will be utilized to secure all electronic transactions conducted through our website.
It is important to note that transmitting information over the internet inherently carries risks, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent online.
